After ten years of co-inhabiting, cross-pollinating and sonically subverting Manchester's vibrant and veritable underground music scene, two authentic Mancunian polar-bookends have finally decided to don their calico lab coats and attempt to pro-create their most terrifying hybrid psychedelic experiment yet. This November Northern stalwart ‘B-music’ (Andy Votel - Finders Keepers and Twisted Nerve) in conjunction with ‘Elecrtriks’ (Electric Chair , Nish Nash Nosh, Electric Souls) will bring you the second dose in an ongoing prescription of unadulterated, 100 percent proof psychedelic musical mayhem.
Its time to submerge your acid-stained brains in some ‘Electric Mud’.
Drawing from the communal psyched-out palette shared by fellow B-music DJ’s David Holmes, Bob Stanley, Andy Votel and Cherrystones - enhanced by guest appearances from vintage vinyl, fuzz-addicts such as Chris Geddes, Gruff Rhys and Bob Stanley- we aim to take open minded music lovers to a place they've never been with a spaced-out soundtrack they've never heard before.
Witness renowned disc jockeys as they're given the freedom to play mind-bending psych, acid-rock, krautrock and space-rock alongside sixties turkish break-beats, garage, surf and easter european glam rock in a mutant environment with mind-numbing visuals accompanied by live analogue soundscapes courtesy of some of the country's most respected electronic musicians.
The Imploding-Polyurethane-Eventuality will be manned by resident DJ’s Andy Votel (Songs In The Key Of Death) and Dominic Thomas who will be joined with hand-plucked guests on a monthly schedule of immorality.
This unmissable ‘full-frontal eclipse’ of two of Manchester's most respected musical institutes will take place at Oldhams Streets custom-built baroque-n-roll residence ‘Mint Lounge’ - a hidden jewel in the bourgening Northern Quarter.
